Nature's Gift: Poet (I)

My limbs entwine in your existence
My lips write into your flesh
the many words I fail to say aloud
Together we make poetry
No where else have I read lines like ours
We create our love story, alive and awake
It’s a breathing document, a rhythmic witness
Swaying her hips through the groove of passion
Igniting the fire within human possibility
It’s the gathering of souls and claming of ones’  dreams
It’s the cure of starvation for  the heart
A pill for the mind and once
you swallow you’ll digest it’s wisdom
but forget all the things that could go wrong
Because with you
Together we make poetry
And become the resuscitation of love

Nature's Gifts : Poet, Ali Merza

Morning .

Every morning I wake up blinded by the sun rays who dance their way past our blinds. At 10:24 ante meridian, you are still in a deep sleep. As our skin rubbed against each other during the night, our breathing pattern synchronized without letting us know. I studied the way your body shapes as you move, from one side to the other, the curves it makes and how peaceful you look. Conversing with the morning star, who was my only company, I explained how much I adore and admire you as if she did not already know. I whisper sweet phrases that I have been afraid of saying whilst you were awake… Amor Vincit Omnia. You are what my body, mind and soul have been searching for. My beloved, you are the one that completes me, the missing fragment of a 10,000 piece puzzle.

Nature's Gifts: Poet, Lila

Mixed .

I slip into a bath full of
Saffron & hot Egyptian oils
and let it kiss bruises left over
from where life smacked me.
I collect myself in the heart of
small Californian suburbs where
daydreams hang on neighbors
clothing lines. ”This is how easy
fluorescent turns dull”
I remember, I lost myself
somewhere in August’s smile
but found myself blooming
again in Septembers throat.
You were there too.
You were always there.
swallowing the bits of me
I couldn't piece back together
and that’s not fair.
